The scaling up of promising health innovations in Low- and Middle-Income countries (LMICs) is becoming an increasingly important area of interest for actors seeking to build efficient, resilient and adaptive health systems. This report, supported by IDIA members Global Affairs Canada and Grand Challenges Canada, shares new research conducted by Results for Development (R4D) and Insight Health Advisors (IHA) into the factors influencing public sector demand for, and scaling of, health innovations. It also presents a flexible, facilitated framework (the “Mountain Model”) for supporting governments as they design and institutionalise activities to help integrate of health innovations within their public health systems.
