Strategic Priorities

Over the course of its first decade, IDIA adopted a broad strategic lens, working to advance innovation within any sector, and equip policymakers and practitioners with an adaptable suite of knowledge, frameworks and tools that could be tailored to fit different contexts and thematic areas.

With the practice of innovation and scaling now more firmly established in development policy and practice, we are exploring how to align and enhance the contributions of our members around three interconnected strategic priorities, which reflect some of the most important, yet challenging issues of our time.

We refer to these priorities as Collective Impact Tracks, recognizing that each encompasses challenges that no single actor, sector or innovation can address in isolation.

Urban Futures

Our Urban Futures work centres on the development of prosperous, equitable and resilient cities, encompassing a range of urban challenges such as planning, governance, infrastructure, social dynamics, and sustainability.

One Health

IDIA adopts a One Health approach, recognizing the interconnectedness of human, animal, and environmental health, while advocating for multiple sectors to collaborate at local, national, and global levels to achieve optimal health for all.

Sustainable Livelihoods

We are committed to advancing a future wherein jobs, employment and means of living promote positive social, economic and environmental outcomes, while enhancing the capacity of future generations and systems to evolve and flourish.
